Masterclass: Emotional Well-being Through Menopause: A Meditation Masterclass

Are you looking for holistic approaches to nurture your mental and emotional well-being during peri-menopause and the menopause years? Our 75-minute meditation masterclass, "Meditation for Menopause," is designed to support you through the emotional challenges that often arise during this transformative stage of our lives.

The time around menopause can bring about a range of gifts to us - greater confidence, and understanding of our spiritual and emotional strengths. But it can also be challenging  - with many women experiencing mental or emotional issues, including anxiety, low mood, irritability, and self-image concerns. Through the practice of meditation, we can cultivate emotional balance, reduce stress, and foster self-compassion.

In this masterclass, you will:

  • Explore Dru Meditation techniques tailored to address the mental and emotional challenges commonly experienced during menopause.
  • Discover simple sound practices that you can do at home to embrace self-acceptance, nurture self-esteem, and foster emotional well-being.
  • Engage in gentle Dru Yoga movements and sequences that release tension, promote relaxation, and support emotional equilibrium.
  • Connect with a supportive community of women on a shared journey, creating a safe space for sharing, understanding, and growth.

The masterclass will be led by Jane Clapham, Dru Meditation teacher trainer and lover of sacred sound, who is herself on her peri-menopausal journey!

Join us for "Meditation for Menopause: Nurturing Your Emotional Well-being" and empower yourself with the tools to navigate the emotional aspects of menopause with grace, resilience, and inner peace.

If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue one 'Personal Development' CPD hour for attendance at this masterclass. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.

As a qualified Dru Yoga teacher, I thought I had a good understanding of asana and the koshas - which of course I did, but the APD course has taken that level of understanding and more importantly my personal experience of my yoga practice to a different level.  

The course took me on a journey through the koshas in a way that not only increased my awareness of how I experience asana but also how to use asana to reshape my experience.  With the support and guidance of the tutors, I was able to revisit the asana I previously avoided which has contributed to my body being stronger and more flexible than at any time since my twenties - and I now love to practise those asanas.

Emotionally, it has helped me process difficult emotions such as grief and shown the way to change self-limiting beliefs.  For me, the real gift of the course was the tutorials which became the foundation for building a supportive sangha of wonderful yogis which continues to exist.  It was during these sessions of deep personal sharing that our fantastic tutors were able to share further their incredible wisdom and answer the many questions that inevitably spring forth in any process of swadhyaya - I highly recommend this course!
